Community Involvement

LARRY H. MILLER CHARITIES

Formed in 1995, Larry H. Miller Charities (LHM Charities) is a nonprofit foundation that functions as the charitable arm of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies. Assistance from the foundation is directed toward groups and programs based in the communities where Miller companies conduct business. Attention purposely focuses on issues that affect women and children, with an emphasis on health and education. Funding for LHM Charities enables the foundation to continue making an impact. Funds are generated, in large part, through LHM companies and employee contributions, as well as donations from the general public through fundraisers in the community. These contributions remain in the state where they were donated to benefit the local community. Since its inception, Larry H. Miller Charities has assisted a multitude of organizations and worthy causes.
Firefly Autism
Founded in 2002, Diane Osaki left her job and set to create an organization where children with autism could learn and have all their needs supported. With the help of numerous parents and therapists, Firefly Autism has changes the lives of thousands of children and families who have children with autism. Recently, Larry H. Miller Nissan 104th and Larry H. Miller Lakewood Volkswagen were able to help donate to Firefly Autism in the tune of $10,000. Our team was excited to help the families and children affected by autism and we are looking forward to working with them in the future!
Stuff For Students
Every August, all of Larry H. Miller comes together to raise money and gather supplies for kids who are about to head back to school. The goal is a simple one but, one that can make a world of difference. We just want to give every student the opportunity to succeed by giving them all of the supplies they need to be the best students that they can be. 5 Days of Giving
Larry H. Miller is proud to announce that we will be participating in the 5 Days of Giving this December. The 5 Days of Giving will be an event where we as a group surprise five different local charities with a $10,000 check for five straight days. We are working with Denver Channel 7 to help spread our message and are asking that you help out wherever you can!

This year, we surprised five organizations with various donations. The first day, we surprised Longmont Meals on Wheels which is an organization that provides warm home-delivered meals to older clients who are in need.

The second day, we visited The Brandon Rooney Memorial Foundation as part of our "5 Days of Giving." The foundation helps cover the burden families face by providing financial assistance during a child's catastrophic injury or major illness.

On Wednesday, we visited the Jeffco Action Center to surprise them with a $10,000 donation to use towards school supplies and warm winter coats, gloves and hats for the children they serve. One out of three students in Jeffco Schools qualifies for free or reduced lunch.

Brent's Place is a truly special place, and we're so honored to have surprised them with $10,000 to use towards their program as part of our "5 Days of Giving." When a family travels to the Denver area seeking life-saving medical treatment for their child, Brent's Place provides a safe-haven. They are one of the only long-term housing options capable of supporting an entire family during the long treatment process. And most importantly - they keep families together during a tough time.

The final day of "5 Days of Giving" we gave a $10,000 donation to the Denver Santa Claus Shop. For 89 years, the DSCS has reached out to serve those in need during the holiday season by providing toys, books and other holiday gifts for children aged newborn through 11 years old. Their mission is to give a toy to every girl and boy who needs one. In 89 years, they've helped more than one million children.
Denver Santa Claus Shop
The Denver Santa Claus Shop has a mission to provide every child with a toy for Christmas. The non-profit is volunteer-driven and relies on people who want to lend a helping hand during the holidays. The Denver Santa Claus shop has helped over one million local children during their 87-year history.

Larry H. Miller Nissan 104th is proud to say that they and the rest of the Larry H. Miller family were able to help the Denver Santa Claus Shop's cause in December by hosting a toy drive going on through December 10th at all Denver area Larry H. Miller dealerships! The team was really excited to work with the Denver Santa Claus shop because they really are all about helping the kids have a great Christmas.
